Free screening of documentary film “Bikes VS Cars” – 10th of May, 18.30, Kofi Annan Conference room (WHO/UNAIDS)

April 22, 2016 @ 08:00 - 17:00

The WHO/UNAIDS Green Group, in the context of the 2016 "Bike to work" * campaign, is pleased to announce and invite you at the:

Green Cineforum free screening of the documentary film "Bikes VS Cars"

The event will take place at WHO/UNAIDS on the 10th of May, from 18.30 to 20.30 in the Kofi Annan Conference room (in the basement of WHO/UNAIDS - across the WHO main building).

"Bikes VS Cars" is a Swedish documentary that shows what an amazing tool for change bikes can be. Climate change and never-ending gridlocks frustrate people around the world more than ever. Instead of whining, people in cities around the world take on the bicycle as a DO IT YOURSELF solution. The film follows the individuals around the world that are fighting to create change, in a world where the car industry is selling more cars than ever.

You can have a look at the trailer here

The screen will be combined with a small reception and an opportunity to discuss some of the issues raised in the film. A few snacks and drinks will be offered and we encourage you to bring drinks or nibbles to share, and your own cup for drinking.

Please feel free to share this invitation, and publicize the event to friends and colleagues who you think may be interested. This evening screening is open to all, including friends and family members without a UN badge.
